“ We had a fabulous meal for dinner and asked to pay our compliments to the chef. Chef Erica can throw down amazing dishes! Blackened red fish and the decadent root veggie farro risotto- with some added grilled chicken . We told them we are celebrating our daughter’s wedding. Michael the Food and Beverage Director brought an incredible chocolate mousse with Tawny port to finish us off. Beautiful Southern hospitality and service- kind people! Tabitha the hostess and Paola our server added to the experience! 5 stars!⭐ ”
“ Had a great experience at Oak 1831. From the bartender to the hostess to the wait staff to the chef coming to our table...it was wonderful. All of this despite the power going out and not being able to order from a full menu due to power issues in the kitchen. We had smash burgers which we rated best in Spartanburg and also had the tea soaked scallops which were divine. We will be back to try more of the menu. ”
“ This place is a hidden gem of Spartanburg. The host, Wait Staff, and Manager all had smiles on their faces. You can tell they definitely thrive at this business within their relationships with each other. The food was amazing. All from Presentation, down to taste. My wife and I had the Burnt end lettuce wraps and Charcuterie board. All fantastic flavors and presentation. Our entrée were Uncle Ben's Pork chop, and my wife got a Rib plate. Everything was fantastic. The crunch from the hoe cake was great. The ribs and chop were fall off the bone. The Mac n cheese and potatoe salad was great too! Her cocktail was crafted to perfection from the bar. All is fairly priced and amazing. Will definitely return, but with more people. So they may enjoy this amazing place as well! ”

“ Update.- The risotto is delicious. I had mine with just veggies. Our table had the brussel sprouts appetizer, duck, ribs, ribeye, burger, and a few drinks from the bar. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was, the presentation of it, and the large portions. You can tell Chef Erica really cares about her work. All of the staff were friendly and it was great experience. The drinks were great as well. I look forward to more veggie/vegan options on the next menu change. ”
